This year, about 91.5% of the candidates appeared in the NEET UG exam, which is the lowest percentage since 2021. The exam, held on May 4, was conducted at 5453 centers in 548 cities across the country, in which only 20.8 lakh out of 22.76 lakh registered candidates appeared. It is being said that this time the question paper was on par with the AIIMS exam in terms of difficulty level, due to which many students found the paper more challenging.

After the result is declared, the counseling process will begin, which will be conducted on the basis of the ranking and marks obtained by the candidates. During this process, candidates will be allotted seats for admission in MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses.
