- Major: INR 69,400 – 2,07,200 per month (Level 11).
- Lieutenant Colonel: INR 1,21,200 – 2,12,400 per month (Level 12A).
- Highest Salary: Up to INR 2,50,000 per month (achieved with promotion to ranks like Chief of Army Staff)
